Sony Innovation Fund by Innovation Growth Ventures

Founded in 2016, the Sony Innovation Fund is a corporate venture capital fund of Sony Corporation. The fund invests in early, mid, and late stage startups. The fund invests in companies in a variety of technology areas, including robotics, mobility, healthcare, artificial intelligence, financial technology, and more. Its portfolio includes companies from North America, Europe, and Japan. The fund has invested in more than 100 companies.

The fund has established offices in Japan, North America, Europe, and India. The investment team has been actively investing in breakthrough start-ups for three years. The fund supports companies that focus on social issues and sustainable corporate value enhancement.

The fund’s investments include Hybe Corporation, manager of K-Pop boy band BTS. The company provides cloud-based interactive video solutions for content creators and rights holders. The firm has also partnered with companies such as Microsoft, Roblox, EA, and Minecraft.

The Innovation Growth Ventures fund targets entertainment technology, mobility, robotics, and financial technology. Sony has invested in companies across the United States, Israel, and India.

The Sony Innovation Fund also invests in companies that are tackling global environmental issues. Its portfolio includes companies such as Green Earth Institute, an organization that focuses on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. Other investments include Delos, a health-focused real estate technology company.

Identiq’s technology is being used by Fortune 500 companies

Identiq is an Israeli identity validation startup that offers a protocol that allows companies to validate sensitive information without compromising privacy. It uses a proprietary technology to compare new user details against trusted identities. It eliminates third-party data providers, reducing the number of false positives and increasing approval rates. The company also keeps bad actors out, by limiting access to user data.

Identiq has raised $47 million in funding so far. It’s raised money from IGV, Sony Innovation Fund, Amdocs, Insight Partners and Entree Capital. It plans to use the investment to help it grow its network. As more members join, the company will improve validation, quality, and coverage. Adding more members will also help the company reduce its overall cost. Ultimately, Identiq will use the investment to help it accelerate its growth.

Identiq is building the world’s largest Identity Validation Network. The company plans to use the investment to speed up the network’s growth and increase validation and quality.
